WELSH 3 PEAKS

Tackle the perfect gateway endurance challenge: summit and descend the three most iconic peaks in Wales – Snowdon (Yr Wyddfa), Cadair Idris, and Pen y Fan – in a single day, traversing the length of the country from north to south.Start pre-dawn at Pen y Pass for the rugged and scenic Pyg Track ascent to Snowdon's summit, with dramatic views over Llyn Llydaw and Glaslyn. Drive south to Tŷ Nant for the classic Pony Path up Cadair Idris, enjoying its dramatic northern face. Finish with the direct 'motorway' route to Pen y Fan in Bannau Brycheiniog.This demanding test combines physical endurance, mental resilience, and logistical navigation – an ideal stepping stone for the National 3 Peaks Challenge or 24-hour mountain events. Expect long hours, varied terrain, weather changes, and a huge sense of achievement upon completing all three.
